<General notes on the EG line>
The EG (Entry Grade) is a product manufactured at Bandai's Chinese factory in 2011, and it's a beginner-level Gunpla concept similar to the FG (First Grade). Basically, it was planned as an event exclusive rather than a retail product — in Asian regions, it was distributed free of charge to customers registered on the Bandai mailing list during special promotional periods. It was also used as a hands-on assembly experience kit at various Gunpla-related events, and some shops sold it for around ¥300–500.

The EG line is characterized by roughly three molded colors and a manual printed on the inside of the box, and it also comes with a parts separator so you can remove the parts without nippers. Overall, the sculpt and proportions are pretty decent, but since the part count is low, there are quite a few hollow areas here and there. In terms of articulation, the elbows and knees are fixed, putting it at a typical No Grade 1/144 level, though the joint strength is solid. The included stickers aren't great quality either — all in all, this is the kind of kit that's more about experiencing a simple build than looks or posing.

Since it's an event exclusive Gunpla, you can't really expect top-notch quality, but it's perfectly fine to just appreciate it as a "huh, so they made one of these too" kind of thing.
-----------------------------
This kit is the EG 1/144 Gundam Exia, and just like the EG Double O, it shows proportions that look almost like a copy of the HG version. There are some pretty bad hollow areas on the inner thighs and elbows, but it's not as bad as the Double O, which had a gaping hole all the way through the GN Drive. True to the EG line, there are no weapons or accessories whatsoever — but it seems like a decent enough kit for a casual build or painting practice. :-)
