With more than double the parts count, there are far more runners than previous kits — but surprisingly, the price only went up by ¥300. That makes the Mikazuki Augus kit, which felt pricey at ¥1,200 despite its sparse contents, look even worse by comparison. Either way, this kit gives you a lot for your money, and it leaves you feeling pretty satisfied with what you get.

Unlike Gundam characters, the Macross female characters come with a dedicated stand shaped like the Macross emblem, with the base section using a combined small-and-large platform. It's designed to work with both Action Base 1 and 2, and a separate joint part for the stand is also included, allowing for flexible posing and display options.

Overall the color separation is excellent, but given how complex the color scheme is, a large number of seal stickers are inevitably included. Fortunately, they go on without looking too out of place, and they do a good job of bringing the overall finish together.

Anyway, unlike previous releases, this kit is a lot more fun to build thanks to the pretty female character and the intricate color separation — making it a great buildable figure kit that I'd recommend not just to Macross fans, but to anyone interested in female figure kits as well. :-)
