Alongside Freyja Wion from Macross Delta, Makina Nakajima has also been released as a Figure-rise Burst. The overall kit composition is identical to the Freyja Wion kit, combining a large number of runners — including two system injection runners — with seals to achieve a nearly perfect color reproduction.

Unlike Freyja Wion, her hair isn't two-toned, but the twin tails are fuller and more voluminous. The parts are well separated to give a nice sense of depth, which makes the build genuinely fun. The fact that even the white straps on the back are carefully broken out into separate parts is honestly impressive — though you'll still need to apply a fair number of seals to nail the color scheme.

The stand functionality for connecting to Action Base 1/2 is the same as Freyja Wion's, so it's compatible with both Action Base 1 and 2 without any issues. That said, since the figure itself is on the larger side, Action Base 1 feels like the better match over the smaller Action Base 2.

Either way, this is a female heroine character figure that looks fantastic straight out of the box, and with a flair that's quite different from male characters, it's definitely the kind of item that'll have plenty of modelers reaching for their wallets. :-)
