------ < HY2M-MG Common Info > ----------
The HY2M-MG series is part of the HY2M lineup released between 2002 and 2003, featuring LED light-up units built into MG heads. Each kit includes three MG light-up heads, and the sculpts tend to differ slightly from the original MG heads. All light-up heads share the same LED unit structure, with the LED color varying by kit — white, green, or red. There's no external switch on these LED units; instead, they use a Hall IC that turns on remotely when a magnet gets close. Each head comes with a small magnet, and by attaching it to a stand or the back of an MG's neck with double-sided tape, you can switch the LED on remotely.

For detailed info on the LED unit itself, check out the detailed LED unit reviewfrom Kit No. 1.
--------------------------------------------------

1. ZZ Gundam Light-Up Head
The sculpt is similar, but the red Mega Cannon section and yellow head antenna aren't color-separated at all, which makes it look pretty bland visually. The light-up effect is also below average — probably because both the head and eyes are on the small side.

2. Zaku I (Ramba Ral's Custom) Light-Up Head
Just like the mass-production Zaku I, the sculpt came out nearly identical to the original, and the mono-eye gives it a great light-up effect.

3. Zaku II (Johnny Ridden's Custom) Light-Up Head
Just like Char's Zaku II, the sculpt is almost identical to the original, though the power cables are done in plain plastic parts, which leaves a bit to be desired detail-wise. The light-up effect itself is excellent thanks to the mono-eye, and if you just swap in the original power cables, it'd be pretty much perfect.
