------ < HY2M-MG Common Notes > ----------
The HY2M-MG series is part of the HY2M lineup released between 2002 and 2003, and these kits come with LED light-up units fitted into MG heads. Each kit includes three MG light-up heads, and they tend to differ slightly in sculpt from the original MG heads. All light-up heads share the same LED unit structure, with the LED color varying by kit — white, green, or red. There's no external switch on these LED units; instead, they use a Hall IC that turns on remotely when a magnet is brought close. Each head comes with a small magnet, and by attaching it to a stand or the back of an MG's neck with double-sided tape, you can switch the LED on remotely.

For detailed information on the LED unit itself, please refer to Kit No. 1's detailed LED unit reviewfor more info.
--------------------------------------------------

1. Nu Gundam light-up head
It's pretty similar to the existing normal version light-up head — the only addition is the plated finish. The light-up effect still isn't great, though. This head can be used with the MG Nu Gundam metallic coating version, but the semi-gloss metallic body and the glossy plated light-up head do look a bit mismatched.

2. Gundam Mk-II light-up head & 3. ZZ Gundam light-up head
Again, it's basically the same as the normal version light-up head with a plated finish added. The ZZ Gundam's LED still comes out pretty dim — probably a clear parts issue — and the difference is really noticeable compared to the Mk-II. Either way, I didn't have the plated kits for either of them, so I couldn't try them out. ^^;
