This kit is the Deusuler II, released as No. 1 in the Mecha Collection Yamato 2199 series. It's a space battleship known for its complex sculpting and imposing proportions. Since it's never been released in the 1/1000 scale series, this is also the first time it's been made into a plastic model.

First off, it boasts more intricate detail than just about any other Mecha Collection kit — there's a ton of sculpting packed into a roughly 10cm frame. Not only is the 3D sculpting impressive, but the molded details are also densely packed, making the build a genuinely fun experience. That said, there are no moving parts whatsoever, so you'll mostly just want to enjoy the overall exterior detail through photos. With this level of sculpting, you can't help but think it would've been great to see it done in the larger 1/1000 scale too.
