This is the Darold, released as No. 14 in the Mecha Collection Yamato 2199 series. It's on the smaller side even among the Mecha Collection warship kits, though the level of detail relative to its size seems a notch higher than you might expect.

There are no moving parts to speak of, so the highlight of this review is really just soaking in all the detail captured with the macro lens shots. You do get the option to build the upper deck either with or without the gun barrels. There's also a bonus Garunt included — though being so tiny, the detail is a little soft on that one.

Overall, the single-color molding does make things feel a bit plain, but it's still a nicely done small and precise miniature model kit. If you're a fan of the Yamato space battleship series, this one's definitely worth picking up for some fun. :-)
