Straight build before panel lining and seals

The 14th entry in the Star Wars Vehicle Model lineup, the Blockade Runner from Episode 4 has been released. It's the diplomatic ship Princess Leia was aboard at the beginning of the film, rendered at roughly 1/1000 scale.

Just like its predecessors, this kit packs an impressive level of detail into a small package. The straight build alone looks a bit plain, but once you add panel lining and seals, it comes together really nicely. There's a lot of panel lining to do given all the molded detail, but the payoff is definitely worth it. Some of the seals are a bit tricky to apply, so you'll want to take your time and stay focused when putting those on.

There's no real articulation to speak of, so this is purely a kit to appreciate for its looks and detail — but for Star Wars fans, it's sure to be a very welcome addition to the shelf. :-)
