This kit is the MG exterior clear parts version released to commemorate Gundam's 30th anniversary. It's essentially the same contents as the original kit, but with one extra clear runner added. Both leg armor pieces — except for the foot covers — have been made clear, and as a bonus, part of the wrists and shoulders are clear as well. The non-leg areas ended up clear somewhat incidentally due to how the runners are divided, so the main highlight is really the clear armor on both legs. Overall, the transparency of the clear armor is excellent as you'd expect from a 100-series MG, and the visual combination of the inner armor detail and the internal frame looks great through the clear parts.

◆ Difficulty of Swapping

The armor on this kit detaches fairly easily, so there's nothing too tricky about it. The foot cover armor — which is always the problematic piece — was cleverly left out of the clear treatment, so you only need to disassemble and reassemble the leg armor.

This is the type of kit where the clear treatment is concentrated on one set of limbs — both legs — rather than spread across arms and legs alike. It's nothing particularly unique, but overall these are pretty decent clear parts worth trying out. :-)
