The second 08th MS Team 1/144 kit is the Ground Type GM. The basic setup looks similar to the previous 1/144 Ground Type Gundam, but the parts configuration is actually quite different — and the overall quality feels subtly better.

First off, the joint strength is generally improved compared to the Ground Type Gundam. At first glance the limb articulation looks a little more limited, but it actually tends to hold poses better. In particular, the chest armor structure was redesigned, which allowed them to bring back the cockpit hatch open gimmick that was left out on the Ground Type Gundam. There's no cockpit sculpt inside — it really just opens like a lid — but it still feels like a step up.
