The third 08th MS Team 1/144 kit is the Gundam Ez8. Lore-wise it shares a similar structure with the Ground Type Gundam and Ground Type GM, and the Ez8 in particular is based on the Ground Type Gundam.

Because of that, its articulation characteristics are similar to the Ground Type Gundam too, though the joint strength feels a bit improved. The cockpit hatch opening mechanism follows the Ground Type GM's approach, and on top of that a large chest hatch that also opens has been added — a pretty premium gimmick in its own right.

Instead of the Ground Type Gundam's container, the Ez8 comes with a parachute pack, and with the film-material belt included, it looks pretty convincing. There's also a 1/144-scale Shiro Amada figure thrown in, so there are quite a few elements here that you won't find in the other kits.

With improved joints and all these special parts on top, this is a step up in quality from the Ground Type Gundam — and at roughly half the price of the HGUC Ez8, it's definitely an old-release kit worth recommending from a value-for-money standpoint. :-)
