Befitting its role as the main unit, it pulls off a near-perfect color reproduction thanks to the premium system injection runners and generous seals, and the full Chobham Armor set is included on top of that — a pretty deluxe package overall.

As a result, the straight build holds its own visually against the HGUC, and unlike the slimmed-down HGUC, the old-kit's stocky proportions actually come across as quite charming in their own way. Joint strength is decent enough, but the limited articulation is a dead giveaway that this is an old-school kit.

The forearm Gatling gun is reproduced as a swap-out piece, and the Chobham Armor uses polycap parts in the middle to connect the two halves, giving it a surprisingly solid hold. It really feels like they packed in every option the NT-1 needed as the main character kit.
