This kit is the Gundam Chara Collection (Character Collection) 1/20 Char Aznable, released in 1981. The Chara Collection is a series of injection-molded figure model kits assembled with glue, molded in a single ivory color. There's no real articulation to speak of, but there's something fun about putting together figures of Gundam's main characters with a simple build.

The second entry in the series is Amuro Ray's rival, Char Aznable. Honestly, "the man himself" is way more popular than Amuro. Befitting such an iconic character, he comes in a more dynamic pose that really shows off the head antenna and cape with a nice sense of depth. The sculpt is a bit rough around the edges as you'd expect from something made in 1981, but with a little cleanup and a paint job, this retro model kit looks like it could turn out pretty nicely. :-)
