This kit is the Gundam Chara Collection (Character Collection) 1/20 Matilda Ajane, released in 1981. The Chara Collection is a series of injection-molded figure model kits assembled with glue, molded in a single ivory color. There's no real articulation to speak of, but there's something fun about building your favorite Gundam character figures with a simple assembly process.

The third entry in the series is Matilda Ajane — Amuro Ray's first love. Unlike the previous Amuro/Char kits, this one lets you choose between 2 different arm styles. Sure, since you have to glue them in place they're not exactly easy to swap out, but you do get the option of a saluting pose or an at-attention stance. Either way, being a 1981 kit the sculpt is a bit rough around the edges, but there's real value in being able to build a Matilda figure in model kit form — she's not exactly easy to come by.

By the way, one well-known piece of trivia about Matilda involves her voice actress, Toda Keiko.
