This is the 1/100 Tallgeese III released as part of the old-style Gundam W Endless Waltz series. The Tallgeese had never been released in 1/100 scale in the Gundam W line before, so this was quite a milestone. Accordingly, alternate parts are included so you can also build Tallgeese I and Tallgeese II — though some of the parts come in colors that don't match the official color scheme, so you'll need to paint them if you want a truly accurate Tallgeese I or II.

Tallgeese III's new weapon, the Mega Cannon with its extendable tip, is included, and the articulated Heat Rod attached to the shield moves at each individual joint and holds its position pretty solidly. The backpack verniers also have a neat little gimmick where opening one cover causes the other to open in sync — a surprisingly premium touch.

Limb articulation is about what you'd expect from an old-style kit — nothing special. It's a shame that the hip joint range of motion is so limited, especially since the small skirt really shouldn't be getting in the way. The upper body joint strength is fine, but the lower body is generally a bit wobbly overall, so if you don't balance the center of gravity carefully when posing it, it'll topple over easily.

On top of that, the Mega Cannon mounted on the left shoulder sits at an awkward fixed angle that restricts the arm's range of motion — a common drawback shared across old-style Tallgeese kits regardless of scale. Also, when swapping parts to build Tallgeese I or II, the connection point between the backpack verniers and the shoulders looks a bit fragile, so you'll want to be careful not to break anything there.

That said, the ability to configure it as Tallgeese I and II is a definite plus, so for Gundam W and Tallgeese fans, this is still a pretty worthwhile item. :-)
