This is the 1/100 Serpent Custom released as part of the old Gundam W Endless Waltz series. Maybe it's the chunky design, but at 1/100 scale it really comes across as one big, solid mass. The articulation is nothing special, but even a simple pose brings out a real sense of dynamism thanks to that impressive backpack.

With chunky kits like this, joint strength is always the biggest concern — and while it doesn't feel particularly tight, it holds up well enough to support the bulk. That said, when you attach the large Gatling guns and raise the arms horizontally, you can feel them slowly drooping under the weight.

There are also some new features not found on the 1/144 version. The gimmick of sliding the shoulders outward to expose the missiles has been reproduced here. On top of the existing double Gatling guns, a bazooka and beam cannon have been newly added as weapons — and every single one of them is impressively large, giving the whole arsenal a real sense of impact. As with the rest of the Endless Waltz 1/100 series, figures are included, and this kit comes with two: Mariemaia Khushrenada and Relena Darlian.

When it comes to sheer pose impact, this kit is excellent. If you're a fan of big, chunky kits, this is definitely an old-release kit worth recommending. :-)
