This kit is the 1/100 Real Type Old Zaku. Like its predecessors, it's a kit that changes the molded color of the original kit and adds waterslide decals. For a detailed look at its structural features, check out the 1/100 Old Zaku review.

The molded color has a desert version feel, similar to the 1/100 Gelgoog, with the main difference being that the original deep blue has been bumped up in saturation to a vivid, brighter blue. On top of that, a bunch of yellow stripe and number decals are mixed in to add some visual flair. For some reason, there are quite a few spots where bright-colored decals are meant to go over the desert-colored areas, and once applied they're barely visible at all. It seems like the matching between the molded colors and decal placement wasn't checked all that carefully.

That said, among the 1/100 Real Type series, this kit sports the most vivid molded colors and decals of the bunch. It's not quite as flashy as the 1/100 Real Type Zaku, but it has a clean, understated look that honestly doesn't feel like an old kit at all. :-)
