Among the Zeon mecha from the One Year War, there are plenty of grotesque-looking machines — and the Zakrello is easily one of the top contenders. This is the injection kit of that Mobile Armor. Interestingly, this kit actually bundles together two scales: both a 1/250 and a 1/550 Zakrello.

Starting with the 1/250 Zakrello — it's got decent color separation with two colors, and the sculpt is pretty solid overall. Since the design itself is so bizarre to begin with, it doesn't really feel like an old kit at all, and I think a good paint job would make it look really impressive. The mega particle cannon inside the mouth is faithfully reproduced down to the details, and since the teeth are each attached individually, the sense of depth is really satisfying.

The 1/550 Zakrello is tiny compared to other 1/550 kits — about the size of a walnut — but it's got everything it needs without feeling too inferior to the 1/250. Sure, some of the finer details lack the same depth as the 1/250 when you look closely, but for the size, it holds its own pretty well.

The kit comes with one shared stand, and also includes a 1/550 scale Gundam + G-Fighter, so you can recreate scenes from the show with the Zakrello. Obviously the 1/550 Zakrello is the right fit for that, but oddly enough, putting the 1/250 on the stand doesn't look too out of place either.

Either way, this kit lets you build the Zakrello — arguably the pinnacle of grotesque Zeon mecha — as an injection kit, and in two different scales at once, which is a pretty great deal. If you're into these kinds of weird and wild Zeon machines, this is definitely one not to miss :-)
