First off, since the entire kit is molded in a single yellow color, the assembled look comes out feeling a bit washed-out and pale. The molded color itself has that cheap, shiny finish you'd expect from candy toy merchandise, so the straight build doesn't look great straight out of the box. The molding and detail are about what you'd expect from an old-school kit, but the molded color makes everything look flat and muddy — the detail just gets lost until you do some panel lining. On the plus side, it does come with stickers, which are pretty rare for old kits like this — you can apply Federation markings to the wings. Feature-wise, you can choose to assemble the container in either the open or closed position, and the three included 1/550 Dom figures let you recreate the atmosphere of the Jet Stream Attack scene.
