This is the 1/144 G Gundam from the old G Gundam series, representing the main unit from the latter half of the show. First off, the wing deployment and Core Lander gimmicks — which are really the kit's signature features — are nicely reproduced with color separation applied. In terms of articulation and joint strength, it also shows the best quality in the entire series.

You can pull off the God Finger by swapping out the forearms and hands, though the forearm gimmick feels a bit fragile, so you'll want to handle it carefully. As a bonus, a beam saber is included separately — though it's molded in yellow, which looks a little off..

The biggest strength of this kit is that the stable joint strength and articulation make it the easiest to pose, which really shows off that main character quality. It's a huge step up compared to the sloppy build quality of the 1/144 Shining Gundam, the earlier protagonist kit.

That said, it's a shame that the shoulders and feet have no color separation or stickers applied at all, and the molded colors overall feel a bit dull. But in terms of proportions and poseability, this is easily the most recommendable kit in the series — fitting for the main character. :-)
