Most of Zeon's MSV lineup is dominated by Zaku and Gelgoog variations, but the 1/144 Gouf Flying Test Type stands as the one and only Gouf MSV. As you can see, the design bulks up the limbs and adds various verniers for flight. It does feel just a notch behind the vernier-heavy MSV Gelgoog though. (For something called a flying type, that's a bit rough.. T_T)

Unlike the previous MSV Gelgoog or Gundam kits, this one doesn't feel like much of an improvement over the regular 1/144 Gouf. The proportions don't seem all that better either, most of the joints aside from the forearms are loose and floppy, and the articulation is about as low as it gets — there really aren't many poses worth striking. The shoulders in particular are structurally limited and barely raise sideways at all, which is incredibly frustrating. There aren't even any separate weapons or accessories included, so the kit's only real selling point is its unique identity as a flight-configured Gouf variant.

If you're a longtime Gouf fan or one of those modelers who loves customizing and painting, it might be worth a look — but as part of the overall MSV lineup, this isn't really a kit I'd recommend quality-wise. :-)
