The 4th entry in the 1/144 V Gundam series is the Tomliat, and it carries over all the series' signature features from the previous kits — polycap frame, runner-assembly build, clear runners, and background card. That said, as the first Zanscare Empire mobile suit in the lineup, it sports a design concept that's clearly very different from what came before.

The overall package is the same, but the big change in design does bring some differences along with it. Unlike the previous V Gundam, Gun EZ, and Jamesgun, the shoulders don't pop off as easily — which is a plus — but the chunkier build does make the elbow articulation feel a bit more restricted.
