The Tallgeese is the 6th kit in the old 1/144 Gundam W series. It's got a medieval knight vibe going on, and its standout feature is that big Dober Gun mounted on the right shoulder. The proportions are actually pretty solid for a 1/144, and the joint strength is on the sturdy side too.

That said, the frustratingly limited leg articulation that's common across the series is still here, and the Dober Gun's range of motion on the shoulder is especially restrictive — it's not easy to get it into a good pose. Leave it on the shoulder and it sticks out too far forward; try to have the hand hold it and you just can't get the angle right.

The shield on the left shoulder can be detached and held in the hand, and a beam saber is also included as additional armament. The signature backpack vernier deployment gimmick is faithfully reproduced, though the moving parts are a bit stiff, so you'll want to be careful not to snap anything.

Anyway, the proportions alone put this kit right up there among the best in the old W 1/144 series, and since it's never been released as an HGAC, this old kit still has its own appeal. :-)
[ Updated at 2018.2.22 ]

The 1/144 W Gundam series was repackaged and released as the WF Series in July 2000. The kit itself is the same as before, but a small character figure was added, bumping the price up by ¥100. The box art and manual were also slightly revised accordingly, and a color guide for painting the figure was added. Since both the regular 1/144 W Series and the WF Series are still mixed together in the secondhand market, please refer to the WF version review below for the figure and included contents.
