The Tallgeese II wraps up the old 1/144 Gundam W series. Design-wise, it's not all that different from the original Tallgeese — the head is really the only thing that changed. The white molded color is a touch brighter, and some stickers have been added.

Because of that, the kit itself is essentially identical to the original 1/144 Tallgeese — the solid joint strength and the somewhat awkward Dober Gun articulation are both still there. That said, the proportions are definitely up there among the better kits in the 1/144 lineup.

All in all, it's a variation kit without many big changes, but it's still meaningful just to have the Tallgeese II's redesigned head immortalized in 1/144 form. :-)

The 1/144 Gundam W series was repackaged and released as the WF series in July 2000. The kit itself is the same as before, but a small character figure was added, bumping the price up by ¥100. The box art and manual were also slightly revised, and a color guide for painting the figure was included.
