The last kit in the old Gundam W 1/100 series is the Gundam Deathscythe Hell. Some parts were changed from the original 1/100 Gundam Deathscythe, with the cloak-style Active Cloak added and an upgrade to the twin beam scythe.

The base body is nearly identical to the original Gundam Deathscythe, so it still delivers solid joint strength and articulation. The Active Cloak can open in 6 directions just like the 1/144 version, and thankfully the moving parts hold their position quite firmly.

With the beam scythe now sporting two blades, the weapon has a lot more impact. It's so large that it's hard to get a good pose holding it one-handed — you really need both hands to hold it up. Fortunately the grip is decent enough that it stays in place well when held with both hands.

Spread the large Active Cloak out at the right angle and you can pull off some really dramatic poses. Thanks to the expanded armaments, you can get more powerful-looking stances than with the original Deathscythe.

What I really like about this kit is that even with the large Active Cloak added, everything holds together solidly. It was released as an MG under the same name in 2010, but that MG is essentially the Deathscythe Hell Custom design from the EW version. So this kit holds even more significance as the one and only original 1/100 Deathscythe Hell. :-)
