The second kit in the old 1/144 Gundam X line is the Gundam Airmaster. It's a mobile suit known for its transformation into flight mode, and its articulation is pretty much on par with the 1/144 Gundam X — nothing special, but the joint strength is solid. That said, the foot grip is relatively better, so it does hold poses a bit more easily.

The transformation gimmick into fighter mode is simple yet cleanly executed, and the solid lock-up after transformation is definitely a plus. The one downside is the pretty bad sink marks on the inside of both buster rifles — a bit of a shame.

Much like the 1/144 Gundam X, this is a decent enough kit. Sure, an HGAW version came out in 2014, but at 500 yen, this old kit is still easy to recommend for the value. :-)
