The eighth kit in the old Gundam X 1/144 lineup is the Gundam Airmaster Burst — a kit based on the original Airmaster with changed molded colors and revised shoulder, nose, and wing parts.

Since the base body is identical to the 1/144 Airmaster, it still delivers excellent joint strength and solid lock-up after transformation. The heavy sink marks on the inside of the buster rifle are also carried over as-is. On the plus side, the wing deployment gimmick has become a bit more refined, so the transformation process does feel like a slight upgrade overall.

It's a variation kit, but it offers solid quality and great value for money, and I think its real significance is in giving Gundam X fans more options to choose from. :-)
