This is the old-release 1/100 Gundam Airmaster from the Gundam X series. Much like the 1/100 Gundam X before it, the joints are sturdy but the joint strength balance is still a bit off. The side shoulder raise joint in particular is so stiff it's actually hard to move.

Articulation is above average for an old-release kit, but that weird joint strength balance makes posing a bit of a pain. The transformation gimmick is pretty much the same as the 1/144, though the 1/100 does add a slightly more premium touch with a sliding chest cover during transformation.

Visually, the plated parts do add a bit more flair, but since the 1/144 already had a nice color combination, this one ends up feeling a lot like just a scaled-up copy.

That said, considering the ¥1500 price tag, it's a decent value kit — if you're a fan of this mobile suit, it's an old-release that can still be a fun build. :-)
