This is the old-style Z Gundam 1/220 Gundam Mk-II. Befitting its status as a main unit, it was released as a third scale option following the 1/144 and 1/100. Like the previous kits in the line, it's nicely sculpted with a solid sense of volume despite the small size — and it even includes a bazooka that wasn't in the other scales, so it's got a full weapons loadout.

The biggest highlight of the 1/220 Mk-II is that it was the very first Gunpla in history to feature full snap-fit construction. From head to toe, everything clicks together firmly without any glue. Even the previous kits like the Messala and Asshimar still required glue, so this was a real milestone — the birth of the first truly glue-free Gunpla.

That said, the articulation isn't as good as the earlier kits, which makes posing a bit frustrating. The generous weapons selection does help you get a variety of poses out of it, though. The proportions follow the same gorilla-style look as the 1/100 and 1/144, keeping the series feeling consistent, and even at this small size it manages to stand with a pretty commanding presence.
