This is the old-release Z series 1/220 Hyaku-Shiki. Being one of the main suits, it was released in three scales — 1/220, 1/144, and 1/100. True to the Hyaku-Shiki, it's molded entirely in yellow with a snap-fit assembly that requires no glue. The limb articulation bends to about 90 degrees, so you can pull off a decent variety of poses.

It's a small kit, but it's got all the details you'd expect, so even just spot-painting the dark blue sections would make it look pretty nice. That said, the yellow molded color can look a bit like a candy toy depending on how you look at it — especially given the small size — so if you're going to paint it anyway, a full paint job is probably the way to go. Either way, it's a solid little model for what it is, and tracking down all three 1/220 Griffith suits — the Mk-II, Z Gundam, and Hyaku-Shiki — sounds like a fun little collecting goal. :-)
