This kit is the SD Gundam Daikoutai, released as part of the Shin SD Sengokuden Chijou Saikyou Hen series. It's well known for its all-time legendary deluxe contents, and it's a deluxe-class SD kit packed into a large box. You get 4 types of seals — standard, clear, prism, and jewel — along with a system insert runner showing off some impressive molding techniques, a standard system injection runner, gold-plated parts, and glow-in-the-dark parts. As a bonus, there's even a diorama paper stand depicting a battle with Yami Daitei, so yeah, this is definitely an ultra-premium kit through and through.

True to its deluxe SD kit status, it's big and imposing with impressive volume, and the elaborate color separation combined with the variety of seals gives it serious visual impact. The joints are solid for its size and the whole thing feels sturdy, but with so much stuff hanging off it, articulation is extremely limited and there aren't many poses you can pull off — which is a bit of a shame. On the flip side, you can fold and unfold the various gimmicks to transform it into the Daikoutai sealed state or the Koutei-ou (Shining Bird), and the chest section that moves for the transformation even has a spring gimmick built in.

Glow-in-the-dark parts are also applied to the eyes and head antenna — turn the lights off and you can see the glow effect to some degree, but the eyes, which you'd think would be the main attraction, don't really shine that brightly. It tends to be the head antenna that stands out more. The 3 glow-in-the-dark parts mounted in the center of the head antenna can also be swapped out for Nikidama from other kits — you can borrow them from Hakuryu Gundam's chest, Musha F91's shield, and Ashura Gundam's Kamui for a fun crossover look.

On top of that, if you collect the remaining 9 kits from the Chijou Saikyou Hen series and build the Tenryuma, Saikyou Hakaihou, and Kouki no Tate, you can put the kit into its fully armed state. It's a premium setup that requires collecting all 10 Chijou Saikyou Hen kits.
