Straight build + Stickers

This kit is the SD Shinsei Daishogun, released as part of the Shin SD Sengokuden: Legendary Daishogun arc. Like the previously released SD Gouka Shodai Gundam Daishogun and DX Versal Knight Gundam, it's an oversized SD kit that boasts a big, flashy visual presence — and those brilliantly molded system insert runners are genuinely eye-catching.

As you can see in the photos, even just a straight build with stickers looks overwhelmingly spectacular, and the sheer size of it gives it an incredible presence. Like a standard-sized SD, you can remove some of the armor to create a light armor type, and the spring-loaded projectile-firing gimmick is built into all three Omega Smashers.
When the Omega Smashers are mounted on the backpack, they can be positioned to fire forward like a Buster Cannon, and after detaching them from the body and rotating the barrels, you can also set them up in the Triple Omega Cannon configuration. On top of that, using the Omega Smashers as rear legs lets you form the four-legged Shinmakou configuration, where you can also lower the visor and open the chest armor to recreate the Taiyouhou firing mode.

As a bonus, there's a small box tucked inside the packaging that can be combined with the outer box to create a display base for showing off your Legendary Daishogun kits — all in all, there's a really generous set of options packed in here.

Being an SD kit, you can't expect a whole lot in terms of articulation, but the joint strength is solid throughout, so it feels great to handle. Despite being an older kit from 1993, the build experience and the feel of it in your hands are anything but cheap.

All things considered, this is a kit that holds up really well even by today's standards, and it seems like a classic Gunpla that even people who aren't particularly into SD Musha Gundam can have a great time building. :-)
