--- SD Sangokuden Common Notes -----------------
SD Sangokuden is a lineup released between 2007 and 2010, and all the kits share a standardized format with consistent characteristics. The head and waist rotate as a baseline, and the arms and legs use ball joints, giving them more flexible articulation compared to older SD kits. The ball joints do tend to pop off during posing, but overall joint strength is pretty decent.

Each kit has a stamp on the bottom of the feet with the character's name carved in kanji, and slide molds are used on the arms and certain other parts for a cleaner finish. Removing the outer armor to get a light armor type is similar to previous entries in the line, and depending on the kit, some pretty large weapons are included too. System injection runners and color separation across four to five or more colors are also used, so even with a small number of seals, the straight build looks great right out of the box. All in all, it's a series that consistently delivers solid quality, and you could definitely call it a hit that did a lot to bring SD kits to a wider audience.
------------------------------------------------------

This kit is the 15th release in the Sangokuden series — SD Shuuyu Hyakushiki — and just like the name suggests, it's based on the Hyaku Shiki. The design silhouette and the gold armor color both give it that unmistakable Hyaku Shiki feel.

When you think Hyaku Shiki, the Mega Bazooka Launcher immediately comes to mind, and in this kit it's reimagined as the Tenraikaho. You can combine the Hakuchoukyuu/Hakukodo with the Tenraikaho main body to form a large crossbow shape, and the Hakuchoukyuu can also be used on its own as a separate bow along with the arrow parts. On top of that, there's an extra right hand included for a bow-firing pose, plus one additional alternate eye seal.

True to the Sangokuden line, this is a kit with a lot of personality. Whatever else you might think of it, the Tenraikaho firing pose alone is seriously cool. :-)
