--- SD Sangokuden Common Notes -----------------
The SD Sangokuden lineup was released between 2007 and 2010, and all the kits share a consistent, standardized format. The head and waist rotate, and the arms and legs use ball joints, giving them more flexible articulation compared to older SDs. The ball joints do have a tendency to pop off during posing, but overall joint strength is pretty decent.

Each kit has a stamp on the bottom of the feet with the character's name engraved in Chinese characters, and slide molds are used on the arms and certain other parts for a cleaner finish. Removing the outer armor to get a light armor type is similar to earlier entries in the series, and depending on the kit, some fairly large weapons are included as well. System injection runners and color separation across four to five or more colors are also used, so even with a small number of seals, the straight build looks great right out of the box. All in all, this is a series that delivers a consistently solid level of quality, and it's safe to say it was a big hit that really helped bring SD kits to a wider audience.
------------------------------------------------------

This kit is the 16th release in the Sangokuden series — SD Shuusou Dövenwolf — and as the name suggests, it's based on the Dövenwolf. The color scheme, head design, backpack, and other details all carry a strong Dövenwolf vibe. Interestingly, while the Dövenwolf is a large mobile suit in the original setting, it actually came out slightly smaller than the other kits in the SD Sangokuden lineup.

The weapons include an axe called the Wanjingbu and two Jianrendao blades, which can all be combined into a more complex weapon called the Sanzhaoji. There's also an extra open right hand included, along with an additional eye seal where the mono-eye is shifted to the right. One thing to note — the inner body frame reuses a runner from SD Yuubi Gundam, so some of Yuubi Gundam's head parts end up as leftover parts.

It is a parts-reuse kit, but since the overall look is completely different, you'd barely notice — and it's a kit where the distinctive color scheme and weapon style are definitely its strong points. :-)
