--- SD Sangokuden Common Notes -----------------
The SD Sangokuden lineup was released between 2007 and 2010, and all the kits share a standardized format with consistent characteristics. The head and waist rotate, and the arms and legs use ball joints, giving them more flexible articulation compared to older SD kits. The ball joints do have a tendency to pop out during posing, but overall joint strength is pretty decent.

Each kit has a stamp on the bottom of the feet with the Three Kingdoms character's name carved in Chinese characters, and slide molds are used on the arms and certain other parts for a cleaner finish. Removing the outer armor to reveal a light armor type is similar to earlier kits, and depending on the kit, some pretty large-scale weapons are included too. System injection runners and color separation across 4–5 or more colors are also applied, so even with a small number of seals, the straight build looks great right out of the box. All in all, this is a series that consistently delivers solid quality, and it's fair to say it was a hit that did a lot to bring SD kits to a wider audience.
------------------------------------------------------

This kit is the 20th release in the Sangokuden series — SD Bachou Blue Destiny — and just as the name suggests, it's based on the Gundam Blue Destiny. It's specifically based on Unit 1, which is why it has that distinctive blue color scheme.

This is a kit with a relatively complex weapon loadout — there are 8 weapon parts in total that can be combined in various ways. The Sacheongdo and Yongneumchang can each be used independently, but you can also combine them with the other parts to form a massive weapon called the Saryonggeugnyeonchang. On top of that, you can distribute the weapons across the body to recreate the berserk form.

One of the most unique features is the eye gimmick — you can turn a switch on top of the head to choose between the standard eyes and red eyes. There's also a clear part layered over the front of the eyes, which makes them look more vivid and striking compared to other kits. The 3 strands of hair at the back each move independently as well, so there are quite a few special touches throughout. As for cross-compatibility, some parts from SD Shangyeoje Liubei Gundam's Yonghwibo can be applied to the right shoulder, and some parts from this kit can in turn be applied to the Biyeongseom from SD Zhao Yun Gundam / Biyeongseom.

For a series like SD Sangokuden where the standardized lineup means each individual kit doesn't always have a ton of unique gimmicks, this one actually stands out as a pretty fun kit with some genuinely distinctive features. :-)
