--- SD Sangokuden General Notes -----------------
The SD Sangokuden lineup was released between 2007 and 2010, and all kits share a consistent, standardized format. The basic articulation gives you head and waist rotation, with ball-jointed arms and legs — which makes for noticeably more flexible movement compared to older SD kits. The ball joints do have a tendency to pop out during posing, but overall joint strength is pretty solid.

Each kit has a stamp on the bottom of the feet with the Three Kingdoms character's name carved in Chinese characters. Slide molds are used on the arms and certain other parts for a cleaner finish. Removing the outer armor to get a light armor type is similar to previous entries in the line, and depending on the kit, some pretty large-scale weapons are included as well. System injection runners and color separation across four to five or more colors mean you get a great-looking straight build even with minimal seals. All in all, this is a series that delivers a consistently solid level of quality, and it's safe to say it was a major hit that did a lot to bring SD kits to a wider audience.
------------------------------------------------------

This is the 25th kit in the Sangokuden series — SD Souhi Gundam, based on Gundam X. True to his role as Caocao's son, the silhouette is very reminiscent of SD Caocao Gundam.

For weapons, you get three colored swords: the Weitian Sword, Shenghuang Sword, and Heiyi Blade. Combine the Weitian Sword and Shenghuang Sword with the shoulder armor and you can build the large Guangtian Qixing Halberd. The Heiyi Blade also has a peg so it can be mounted on the back. As for the crossover feature, you can swap parts with the father kit, SD Caocao Gundam — Caocao Gundam's head antenna can be attached to Souhi Gundam, and the Weitian Sword and Shenghuang Sword can be connected and used as weapons for Caocao Gundam.

The three colored swords and the large Guangtian Qixing Halberd are the real highlights of this kit, and it's even better when built alongside SD Caocao Gundam. :-)
