The SD Sangokuden lineup was released between 2007 and 2010, and all the kits share a standardized format with consistent characteristics. The head and waist rotate, while the arms and legs use ball-joint construction, giving them more flexible articulation compared to older SD kits. The ball joints do tend to pop out during posing, but overall joint strength is pretty decent.

Each kit has a stamp on the bottom of the feet with the character's name engraved in Chinese characters, and slide molds are used on the arms and some other parts for a cleaner finish.
