This kit is the SD Oda Nobunaga Gundam, released as part of the SD Sengoku-den Mushin Kourin-hen series. It's essentially BB Senshi No. 286 Gundam Daishogun - Gundam Evolve version with a changed molded color and a few extra accessories thrown in.
The armor, which previously had a gold coating, has been changed to black gloss injection, and the main body has been switched to a purple color, resulting in a pretty unique color combo. The gloss injection has a fantastic sheen that gives it just as much presence as the gold coating did. In particular, going black really makes the contrast between the rough texture on the helmet and the smooth gloss injection surface much more apparent. (See photos above)
The main body is identical in every way except for the helmet decoration, and a flag made by cutting out the manual and a Zaku-inspired Ashigaru soldier (Zako) have been added. The spring-loaded gimmick where all five fins fan out with a swoosh is still there too.
Among the Mushin Kourin-hen kits — which are all color variations of existing kits — this one shows the most striking contrast with its source kit. That bold, gleaming black really sets it apart in a big way. The original kit was already a cut above your average SD kit, with elbow joints that actually bend (a rare thing for SD kits) and overall higher quality across the board.
Anyway, the base kit is already great, and the new molded color has such a strong personality that this is definitely a color variant kit worth recommending. :-)
