The Hourin Baku takes the form of a pretty stylish beast, and the sculpting is quite well done — it's based on the white tiger, a divine beast passed down through the Sun clan for generations. You can disassemble the Hourin Baku and attach it to Sonken Gundam to build the Goutaitei Sonken Gundam, and with all those extra parts, it feels noticeably more substantial than a standard SD Sangokuden kit. You can also lay Sonken Gundam face-down and attach the Hourin Baku parts to recreate the beast god form.

Weapons include the Shinko Seito and the Aou Ken, and you can swap the face mask to turn it into his father, Sonken Zephyranthes — though without panel lining, the two look so similar it's genuinely hard to tell them apart just by looking.
