SD Sangokuden was released between 2007 and 2010 as 37 BB Senshi kits (#300–362), followed by a separately numbered run of 46 Sangokuden BBW kits (a.k.a. Shin Sangokuden). While a good number of the BBW kits were reuses of the original BB Senshi Sangokuden molds, some were released as brand-new kits. Those BBW original kits have since been brought back under the BB Senshi numbering system — that's the 400-series SD Sangokuden lineup. This series launched in February 2018, with eight kits released all at once under BB Senshi numbers 405–412. With the exception of the last one — Chōsen Qubeley — all of them are repackaged versions of BBW series original kits with new accessories added in.

This kit is the Huzhen Gyan & Buduibing (Dong Zhuo Army), released as part of the BB Senshi Sangokuden repackage series. It's based on the Sangokuden BBW Zhen Huzhen Gyan with three Buduibing figures added to the set. The Huzhen Gyan's molded color has been changed to something closer to the original Gyan's colors, and the Buduibing have been molded in green. On top of that, since this is the Dong Zhuo Army version, the face has been renewed from the original GM-style to a Zaku-style.

Outside of these changes, the basic contents and articulation are the same as before, so the main things to check out in this review are the updated molded color on the Huzhen Gyan and the new face on the Buduibing. :-)
