The SD Sangokuden series was released between 2007 and 2010, spanning 37 BB Senshi kits (#300–362), followed by 46 Sangokuden BBW series kits (a.k.a. Shin Sangokuden) released under their own separate numbering. A good number of the Sangokuden BBW kits were reuses of BB Senshi Sangokuden kits, but some were released as brand-new kits. Those BBW original kits were then brought back under the BB Senshi numbering system and re-released as the 400-series SD Sangokuden lineup. This series launched in February 2018, with a total of 8 kits released all at once under BB Senshi numbers 405–412. With the exception of the last one — Chōsen Qubeley — all of them are repackaged versions of BBW series original kits with new accessories added in.

This kit is the DianWei Asshimar, JiaXu Ashtaron, Siege Weapon & Six Combining Weapons Set A, released as part of the BB Senshi Sangokuden repackage series. It's essentially the original Sangokuden BBW Shin DianWei Asshimar & JiaXu Ashtaron Siege Weapon Set with six combining weapons (Set A) added to the mix. Each kit has subtly tweaked molded colors compared to the BBW versions, though it's really just slight adjustments in brightness or saturation per color — the overall feel is pretty much the same. The six added "A" weapons can combine in various configurations and even be used with other kits, but to complete the full set, they need to be paired with the Six Combining Weapons Set B included with the later-released Huang Gai Gouf.

Everything else about the basic contents and articulation is the same as before, so for this review, you really just need to check out the updated molded colors and the newly added Six Combining Weapons Set A. :-)
