----- Common notes for the 400-series SD Sangokuden lineup ------------------------
SD Sangokuden was released between 2007 and 2010 as 37 BB Senshi kits (#300–362), followed by a separately numbered run of 46 Sangokuden BBW kits (a.k.a. Shin Sangokuden). A good number of the BBW kits were repackaged versions of the original BB Senshi Sangokuden kits, but some were brand-new releases. Those BBW original kits were then brought back under the BB Senshi numbering system as the 400-series SD Sangokuden lineup.
This series launched in February 2018 with eight kits released all at once under BB Senshi numbers 405–412. All of them — except for the last one, DiaoChan Qubeley — are repackaged versions of BBW series original kits with new accessories added.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This kit is the DiaoChan Qubeley & General's Palanquin, released as part of the BB Senshi Sangokuden repackage series. Unlike the previous kits in the lineup, this isn't a repackage of an existing Sangokuden BBW kit — instead, it takes the kit that was originally included as a bonus with the Gundam Sangokuden Blu-ray box set and adds the General's Palanquin to it. The Blu-ray version used the anime-style eyes, but this kit comes with the manga-style eyes instead.

As you can see, it comes out looking lovely with a feminine pink color scheme, and the Qubeley's distinctive design blends really nicely with the female character aesthetic. Two butterfly fans are included as weapons, and you can place the figure on the separately included General's Palanquin. The palanquin can also be broken down into a litter form, and if you borrow four soldier figures from other kits, you can set up a full palanquin-carrying scene.

On top of that, the long wing robe hanging from the neck can be applied by cutting it out from the manual. In terms of articulation, the range of motion is a bit more limited than you might expect, so pulling off a wide variety of poses is a little tricky. That said, it's such a sparkly, pretty, and stylish kit that it looks absolutely lovely just standing there on display. :-)
