This lineup was newly launched alongside the 2010 anime "SD Gundam Sangokuden Brave Battle Warriors," and follows its own independent numbering system separate from the regular BB Senshi line. Most kits in the lineup are essentially repackaged versions of the existing BB Senshi Sangokuden kits, while a few were released as original kits.

The repackaged kits come with slight molded color changes along with added weapons or armor, though some have no additional parts at all. Eye seals have also been expanded compared to before. So honestly, a good number of these kits feel pretty much like straight-up color variants. Other notable changes include the word "Shin" being added to the front of each kit's name, and the base price going up slightly to ¥600.

This kit is SD Shin Shouretsutei Ryuusou Ryubi Gundam Ryuukihou Tekiro, released as No. 42 in the SD Gundam Sangokuden BBW series. It's based on the existing SD Shin Ryuushou Ryubi Gundam, with the addition of a gold-plated dragon called Ryuukihou and a horse called Tekiro. For Shin Ryuushou Ryubi Gundam itself, only the front skirt parts were swapped out to accommodate the new parts connection — everything else, including the molded colors, is completely identical to the original.

By disassembling the Ryuukihou and attaching it to Ryuushou Ryubi Gundam, you can build the Shouretsutei Ryuusou Ryubi Gundam. As an intermediate step, you first assemble a base form with additional parts added — at this stage, the leg parts are swapped out for bigger, chunkier ones, and boot-like pieces are added to the feet, making the overall figure noticeably taller. Depending on how you attach the Ryuukihou parts, you can build a total of four different forms: the standard form, Ryuushin form, Ryuujun form, and Ryuuko form. You can also rotate Tekiro's body 180 degrees and combine it with the Ryuukihou parts to create the Tekiro Gattai Ryuukihou.

The sheer variety of what you can do with the contents and configurations is a big selling point, though flip that around and it also means this kit takes quite a bit of work to put together.
