<SD Chibi Senshi Series — General Notes> --------------------------------------------
The SD Chibi Senshi series ran from 1992 to 1994 and features the smallest SD Gundams around, coming in at roughly 4.5–5 cm tall. That's exactly where the "Chibi" (little one) name comes from. It's a lineup that takes SD Gundam characters from various series and turns them into plastic kits with a small, simple build.

Every Chibi Senshi kit can be built in Frame Mode by simply attaching the head, arms, and legs to a frame. The frame included is one of six, chosen at random: No. 1 Speed Frame, No. 2 Agility Frame, No. 3 Radar Frame, No. 4 Power Frame, No. 5 Knowledge Frame, or No. 6 Mobility Frame.

Given the simple construction, articulation is pretty one-dimensional — only the arms, feet, and head rotate. Most kits come with a Chibi Medal, and if you collect enough of them you can link them together. Some kits also offer a transformation gimmick through parts recombination, or let you mount the armor onto a separate display stand. As for pricing, the original release was ¥300, which was about as cheap as it gets — but reprints from 2008 onward have gone up to ¥400 due to inflation, so keep that in mind.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is SD Gun Fire Jr., released as No. 1 in the SD Chibi Senshi series — a character from SD Command Chronicle II: Gundam Force. The special gimmick lets you combine the weapons to form the Rescue Spinner. True to the Chibi Senshi series, there's some hollowing-out here and there, and the straight build looks a little plain, to be honest. It's very much an old-school SD kit through and through, but for anyone with fond memories of the Chibi Senshi series, this first entry in the lineup should still bring back some good feelings. :-)
