-- Series Common Notes ---------------------------------
The Gundam SEED Destiny 1/144 No Grade series followed on from the original SEED 1/144 line, with a total of 14 kits released between 2004 and 2005, priced between ¥300 and ¥600 as entry-level Gunpla. The basic construction is similar to the SEED 1/144 kits, though you can feel a step up in terms of detail, and they use an evolved dumbbell-shaped ball-joint polycap. Each joint moves on both sides, so articulation has improved — but since the elbows and knees are still fixed, the range of poses you can pull off remains limited.

That said, the proportions are solid and on par with HG kits, and while color separation is limited, the molded colors are actually pretty decent. Each mobile suit also recreates its own transformation gimmick and key features. The parts count is more complex than the SEED 1/144 kits, which pushed the average price up to ¥500, but overall quality has gone up along with it. True to their No Grade status, these are solid entry-level Gunpla — great for a casual build or painting practice at a relatively affordable price.

<Individual Kit Notes>

This kit is the 9th entry in the series — the 1/144 Saviour Gundam. Even with color separation and seals applied, the color accuracy still feels a bit lacking, which is probably because most of the body is red to begin with, making it look even more one-note. On top of that, the molded colors look subtly cheaper compared to the HG version, so the straight build visual is relatively underwhelming.

On the functional side, transformation into MA mode is included, just like the Gaia and Abyss Gundam kits. It's a detach-and-reassemble method, but the end result looks pretty solid and convincing. The straight build visual may be a step below the HG, but as a No Grade kit it's a perfectly fine casual build. :-)
