Like the other kits in the same category, the 1/100 Arios Designer's Color ver. is a variation kit that features brighter molded colors, a large number of seals, and an added LED unit compared to the standard version. Unlike some of the other kits, the molded colors don't really go pastel — they just feel brighter overall, so it doesn't quite have that vibrant, lively feel you get with something like the Cherudim Gundam.

The overall characteristics of the kit are the same as the standard version — the solid joint strength makes the transformation process feel stable and secure. Personally, I think the molded colors might have gone a bit too bright, making it look kind of washed-out compared to the standard version.. but either way, the LED unit and the generous amount of seals do give it a slightly more premium feel. :-)
