This is the 1/60 Gundam Exia ~ Clear Color version, a limited edition released at the 2008 Gundam Expo. It shares the same concept as the previously released HG Exia limited edition, but with the sheer volume you'd expect from a 1/60, it's a seriously impressive clear limited kit.

The base kit is the same as the existing normal version 1/60, but switching to clear material has tightened up the tolerances considerably, making the joints very stiff. It's almost borderline too stiff, but given the size of this thing, that stiffness is actually a virtue.

The blue and red clear parts aren't much different from your typical clear parts, but the white sections are done in a slightly smoked clear rather than fully transparent. Most of Bandai's recent clear versions have been going this route, and honestly it looks a bit more substantial than fully transparent, so it works out nicely.

Outside of the material change there isn't a whole lot else to talk about with this kit, so just sit back and enjoy the photos.. ^^
