HG AEU-09

AEU Enact Demonstration Color

Kit Review

Following the Saachez custom Enact Custom, the Demonstration Color version has now been released. It's the unit that had its first showdown with Exia in episode 1 of Gundam 00, only to get thoroughly beaten — and then it pretty much never showed up again after that. :-) Compared to the existing Enact Custom, the only structural differences are the head antenna and front skirt, so this is essentially a standard molded color variation kit.

The molded color is this almost fluorescent, soft jade green + sky blue combo, and the color scheme is actually quite pretty. (It looks even better in person than in photos — another one of those colors that digital cameras just don't capture well..) At a glance it might look a bit garish, but in reality it's quite a clean, fresh-looking color.

The rest of the structure is identical to the HG Enact Custom, so both the joint strength and the transformation lock are much better than the HG Flag family. No loose joints anywhere, and the transformation holds nice and solid.. though the tiny feet still make it a real pain to stand on a flat surface OTL

If you like the pretty color scheme and the overall well-designed look, this is a solid, reliable build that you can approach with more confidence than the HG Flag lineup.
