Seravee Gundam GNHW/B

Kit Review

The third entry in the 00 Season 2 Gundam weapon variation series is the Seravee Gundam GNHW/B.
The "B" here stands for Beam, and a whopping 8 beam weapons have been added across various parts of the body. Thanks to that, the already chunky Seravee Gundam gets even more packed out, giving it the most powerful feel of any kit in the GNHW series. Six of those beam weapons — on the shoulders, legs, and sides — also feature deployment gimmicks, making for some really flashy action poses.

Thanks to the new-style polycap joints that are much sturdier than those used in the Season 1 HG Gundam Virtue, there are absolutely no issues with articulation or joint strength even with all these extra weapons loaded on — which is a real relief. When you think about how chunky designs usually suffer from joint problems, this is one kit you can build without any worries on that front.

The kit also comes with conversion parts for Seraphim, so you can transplant 4 of the beam parts onto the HG Seraphim Gundam. Of course, only the fixed-type backpack for Seraphim is included here — you'll need to buy the MS-form Seraphim Gundam separately. On top of that, a GN Beam Machine Gun is thrown in as a bonus weapon exclusively for Seraphim.

With this release, all three of the 00 Season 2 Gundams (excluding 00 itself) have now gotten their GNHW variants, and in terms of volume and parts count, the Seravee GNHW/B feels like the best value of the bunch. If you're a fan of big, beefy designs, this is a really fun kit — highly recommended! :-)
