The fourth 00 Season 2 Gundam to get the Trans AM mode treatment is of course Seravee Gundam, and this time they've put out a Trans AM pack as a combo set that includes Seraphim Gundam as well. If you add up the prices of the two normal ver. kits — Seravee (¥1600) and Seraphim (¥1000) — you get ¥2600, but this combo pack is priced at ¥2400, whether as a goodwill gesture or whatever. That's a ¥200 discount. (Well, that's a surprise..)

The basic characteristics of the Trans AM molded color are the same as the other kits — the stiffer plastic does make cleaning up the gates a bit more of a pain, but on the flip side the joint strength is noticeably tighter. Thanks to that, whatever pose you put it in stays locked in place solidly, though it can actually get stiff enough to be a little awkward to handle.

With this, all the 00 Season 2 Gundams have now been released in Trans AM mode. You could argue it has a bit of that "milking it" feel compared to the Phase Shift Off releases back in the SEED days, but overall the molded colors look really nice, so in terms of product value it's a step up from the washed-out Phase Shift Off mode.

You're getting both Seravee and Seraphim in one box at a lower price than buying them separately, so purely in terms of kit value, this is a pretty worthwhile purchase. If you like the look of it, or you want to complete your Trans AM squad (;;), you can go ahead and grab it without worrying about quality. :-)
